The First Academic Exchange Seminar for Static Liquefaction Type Loess Landslides and Instability Criteria was Held in Lanzhou University

In order to promote the effective implementation of the research contents of the major project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), "Basic Research on Prediction and Prediction of Major Landslides", Project 3, "Mechanism of landslide initiation and Instability Criterion of Static Liquefaction Loess Landslide", and promote the communication and cooperation among project team members, The first academic exchange seminar between Lanzhou University and Chang 'an University will be held at The Chengguan Campus of Lanzhou University on August 1-2, 2021. This meeting summarized the research results, planned the research highlights and found the research deficiencies according to the research progress of the topic. Academician Peng Jianbing of Chang 'an University and more than 40 key members of the project attended the academic exchange seminar, which was presided over by Professor Zhang Fangyu of The College of Civil Engineering and Mechanics of Lanzhou University.

In the morning of August 1st, the project leader and key members of the project made academic reports on important scientific issues such as loess slope interface infiltration, loess zone softening, loess static liquefaction, loess landslide initiation criterion, etc., showed the implementation of the first half of the year, and planned the research plan for the second half of the year.

Peng Jianbing academicians attended the academic on all the way, listen to the task of project implementation, finally based on subject and each subject has carried on the thorough review, help combed the research emphasis should be around the interface of water and two main line, suggested topics during execution efforts should be made to reveal the static liquefaction type five mechanism of loess landslide, clarify the four key points, It is required to construct the criterion model of starting slip, and it is emphasized that the research results should contribute both to the innovation of basic theory and to meet the needs of the country.

In the afternoon of August 1st, participants readjust and plan the research plan and research focus for the second half of the project in accordance with the suggestions and suggestions put forward by Academician Peng Jianbing, and have an exchange and discussion on the construction of on-site monitoring demonstration base, site selection of in-situ test, data sharing, collaborative crossover and other issues.

On August 2nd, participants visited the geological disaster monitoring and Early Warning Research station of Laolanggou loess Landslide field Scientific Observation and research Station of Lanzhou University. Professor Zhang Fangyu introduced in detail the mode of gestation, mechanism and process of loess landslide in Laolanggou. In addition, the participants had an in-depth exchange on how to reasonably expand the existing monitoring equipment, observation platform and early warning scheme of the research station, so as to better serve the research on the mechanism of loess landslide starting and instability criterion.
